Interactive Medicine - The Medicine of Interactive systems
(or the medicine of systemic interactions).
SI Medicine
represents a new integrative approach to health and healing, which
explores the ways to help a human being enhance its natural healing
capacity through interactive communication with other systems.
Being born as
a synergistic integration of conventional and complementary /alternative
medicine, SI Medicine blends together achievements of modern biomedical
science and ancient wisdom with its emphasis on wholeness, movement,
and interdependence of everything that exists.
SI Medicine
acquires and emphasizes the systemic principle in its approach to
reality in general and to medicine in particular. It studies the
human being as a system in the world of interacting systems, in
all complexity of intrinsic dynamic interconnections and interactions
of this system with the environment.
It should be
a very little doubt at this point, that a human being can no longer
be considered just an isolated and independent physical body. Any
human being is an integral part of a bigger whole the system
of a living and intelligent Universe, the web of relations,
where everything is interconnected and interdependent; everything
is constantly changing, interacting, and exchanging energy, information,
and substance.
The ultimate
objective of SI Medicine is to find the optimal way to restore and
support the state of harmony between the system of human being and
the surrounding world. This harmony and dynamic balance at all systemic
levels determine the state of our physical, mental, and spiritual
well-being known as the state of health. And, as we always are an
intrinsic part of larger systems, the well-being of our family,
our society, and even our planet will ultimately depend on our personal
responsibility and capacity to keep the state of Optimum Health.
SI Medicine
believes that a human being, as one of the most mysterious, fascinating,
and perfect creations of nature, possesses great potential healing
reserves, and that the path to Optimum Health lies through our ability
to reveal and enhance our natural healing capacity, which implies
the improvement of our adaptive capabilities.
The idea of
helping the system of human organism heal itself in the way it was
designed to do was underpinning the ancient medical systems, such
as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, and Native American
Medicine etc. It is also shared by all holistic medical practices
today, awaiting implementation on the level of achievements of contemporary
science. Our advanced science, we believe, is ready to develop extremely
effective means to help human beings through self-healing achieve
the state of Optimum Health.
However, it
will unlikely happen if we do not reconsider radically not only
the still dominating in health science reductionist concept of health
and disease, but also the way we approach a human being with intention
to help.
So far this
way is if not aggressive, then more or less blind and
therefore not effective enough. The level of complexity of the functional
system of a human organism far exceeds the diagnostic capabilities
of any piece of equipment that is used to analyze this system. Therefore,
attempts to comprehend systemic problems and produce solutions from
outside the system often appear imprecise, ineffective, and sometimes
even dangerous.
The system
itself is the only entity, which really knows what is going on.
And the only one who has a comprehensive way of dealing with the
problem.
Therefore,
in order to help the system and avoid any mistakes, we should ask
the system what it needs to heal itself.
SI Medicine
suggests that interactive communication, a dialogue, with the system
at all levels is the most effective way to help a human being heal
itself.
SI Medicine
explores all possible ways to establish an effective dialogue with
a human system and to support it in the process of self-healing.
In general sense, it unites treatment with healing, science with
art, and cure with care in one coherent comprehensive process of
restoration and support of human health.
When a living
system cannot cope with a problem, it will look for help from other
systems. This simple rule works for us as spiritual and intellectual
beings, when we discuss our problems with a friend, or a psychologist,
or a priest. In the same way it could work for our bodies, if these
bodies had a way to talk directly to other systems and get a feedback...
Unfortunately,
so far this communication was only possible through the censorship
of our consciousness, which is gradually losing the ability to receive,
interpret, and transfer information from the body because of continuing
alienation from it.
Cry of our
body for help remains unheard and incomprehensible, unless we find
the way to talk directly to the body.
That is where
high technologies of today enter the scene. These technologies at
the end of the 20th century brought us a solution interactive
medical devices. These devices give the body a chance to establish
direct interactive communication with the systems capable of supporting
the body with the help it needs to complete the healing process.

As a notion
of a dialogue implies an exchange of information and
energy, Systemic Interactive Medicine emphasizes the study of these
phenomena and makes them the base of its methods and technologies.
The study of
humans as energy and informational beings is a long time past
due. It became a subject of Energy medicine lately and, apparently,
will be continued in cooperation with other fields of knowledge,
especially bio-physics, supporting the general integrative tendency
of contemporary science.
SI Medicine
plans an in-depth study of the human energy system, which we know
a little about, mostly from Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well
as the study of informational processes in humans, which we know
almost nothing about. This study will expand our knowledge about
the human system of adaptation and will help optimize its activity,
thus increasing the natural healing capacities of human beings.
